The authors are conducting an equivalent network analysis to clarify the effect of intracellular current density on the transfection efficiency of plasma gene delivery methods. In a previous study, cells adherently cultured on 96-well plates and plasmid solutions on the cells were modeled by an equivalent network consisting of resistors and capacitors, and it was concluded that the current is probably the main source of electrical stimulation. In the present study, the model was newly extended to allow for the presence of plasmid solution between cells in response to cell density, and the validity of the model was verified.
