[V-05] Influence of Absorption of Scoria Fine Aggregate on Compressive Strength and Pore Distribution of Mortar

From the point of utilization of aggregate resources in small volcanic islands, we basically investigate influence of absorption of scoria on compressive strength and pore structure of mortar. The later generation period of volcanic fine aggregate (scoria) causes highly porous fine aggregate particles. Then the porous fine aggregate decreases the compressive strength, and it causes highly porous pore structure of the mortar. Also the average absorption of fine aggregate controls the compressive strength of the volcanic fine aggregate mortar.
