[VI-1009] Effects of fulcrum displacement measures by resin injection for fatigue crack of trough girder
Keywords:Trough girder, Bearing, Bearing displacement, Fatigue crack, Resin measurement, Stress measurement
The target bridge is an overhead track bridge with an oblique angle composed of four trough girders. The tank girder currently in service was replaced in 1983. A crack was found in the end support in a general inspection in 2010. Therefore, for the purpose of prolonging the service life of the trough girder, resin injection to the bearing was carried out as a measure to suppress the tilt of the fulcrum which is considered to be one of the causes of the crack. In this paper, we show the outline of the construction of resin injection, and report on the vertical displacement of the fulcrum before and after injection and the stress measurement results in the vicinity of the stop hole.
