Residual stress and geometric imperfections influence seriously on ultimate strength of steel structures. An existing experiment observed change of them under partial cross-section loss process. However, the changes at the main girder end of rolled H-beam have not been clarified yet. This study analytically investigated on the change of residual stress and deformation under partial cross-section loss process of an end stiffener. As a result, residual stresses on cross-section loss portion re-distributed around the portion. Also, cross-section loss portion deformed out-of-plane to opposite direction of the cross-section loss side so that it was squashed by eccentric compression force.
