In practice, the authors have continuously observed the water level of the existing embankment, and have often observed that the water level in the embankment is divided into two or more. Understanding the water level in the embankment is one of the most important issues when examining the stability of the embankment. In this paper, we installed multiple groundwater level observation wells in high embankment where it is necessary to consider embankment reinforcement work and conducted long-term observation for more than one year. Here are two examples that confirmed this.
