Recent years, Japan’s population decrease and ageing has consequences on urban infrastructure, resulting in a degradation of urban functionalities and also an increased number of abandoned houses. Thus, predicting the changes of future population distribution in scale of cities to a detailed degree has become important task. In this study Household micro-simulation model is developed to predict future population and transitive behavior of household or individuals by using only open data. In addition, the model is applied to the target area, Toyohashi city, to evaluate residential guided area setting.
