[VI-459] Study on application of quick-drying fireproof paint on Tokaido bullet train steel bridges.
Keywords:quick-drying fireproof paint, burning test, railway steel structure bridges
When a fire occurs directly below the steel bridge, load strength may decreased depending on the heat receiving temperature. Therefore, in the steel bridges of the Tokaido bullet train, fireproof paint is applied to the places where the tenants are used under the bridge and the places where they cross the expressway. Current refractory paint construction involves not only many painting steps but a long construction period, but also very strict curing methods and temperature and humidity control due to the properties of the refractory paint.
Therefore, in this study, we examined the application of quick-drying fireproof paint as a new specification to solve these problems.
