Background & Purpose: Japanese Society of Fetal Cardiology mainly implements a nationwide multicenter registration of fetal echocardiography that play a key role to understand and investigate the current status of fetal echocardiography. Methods: 70,166 examination for the definitive diagnosis by online registrations enrolled from 1 October 2004 to 31 December 2019. We investigated, the annual change of the number of registrations, registrations in each prefecture and registrations by the classification of diseases. Moreover, we estimated the detection rate regarding several congenital heart disease (CHD) from Japanese CHD surveillance. Results: There were more than 10,000 registrations from 2010 in each year. As for the classification of diseases, 26961 exams were CHD (38% of all exams). For the rest, 35% showed normal heart, and 5% was arrhythmia. For the top three prefectures, there were 10968、8296 and 5751 registrations in Osaka, Tokyo, and Kanagawa, respectively. CHDs was consisted of 4773 exams of VSD, 2871 exams of DORV, 2610 exams of TOF, 2343 exams of AVSD and 2259 exams of HLHS, 1725 exams of SRV. There were a minority exams included 1503 exams of dTGA (5.6% of CHDs.), 996 exams of simple CoA(3.7%) and only 334 exams of TAPVC(1.3%). Recent estimated detection rate of HLHS, TGA and TAPVC were 87%,59% and 28%, respectively. Conclusions: The number of registrations tended to increase up to 70000. This nationwide registration is so important for Japanese Society of Fetal Cardiology to contribute improvement of detection of CHDs by disseminating it.
