The damage of the LiF crystal after irradiating it with the EuFEL pulses at photon energy 9 keV was investigated for delivered doses in the range of 2 –850 kJ/cm3 per pulse. Complexes analysis of the LiF sample showed the formation of the unexpected deep cylindrical cavity with a ratio diameter to a depth of more than 1: 100 at doses > 250 kJ/cm3. The result is important for material processing.
