[16C-SIS7-03] Achieving Excellent Dispersion Properties and Interfacial Strengthening in Biodegradable HA@GO/Zn-2Cu Matrix Composites via the Combination of Hetero Agglomeration Method and In-situ Growth Strategy
Keywords:Zn-based composite; in situ growth; hetero agglomeration; interfacial bonding; antibacterial behavior
GO sheets were uniformly dispersed on the surface of Zn powder via the hetero agglomeration method. Thereafter, the HA nanocrystals were growth in situ on the homogeneously dispersed GO sheets via a facile hydrothermal method. The intimate interfacial bonding between GO sheets and the reinforcement of HA was achieved by the chemical bonding between HA nanoparticles and contained functional groups on the GO sheets. After the spark plasma sintering (SPS) process, excellent dispersion properties and intimate interfacial structure were simultaneously achieved in the HA@GO/Zn-2Cu biocomposites. Consequently,The unique microstructure, improved dispersion properties and enhanced interfacial strength significantly improved the Vickers hardness from 77.9 HV to 89.8 HV with the increased HA@GO content up to 0.4 vol%.
