Continuous graded alloy fabrication by LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) is a new technique in additive manufacturing that allow to create alloys with varying compositions and properties in a single part. Recent studies have shown promising results in creating continuous graded alloys with improved mechanical, thermal, and corrosion resistance properties, which can be applied in various industries such as aerospace, biomedical, and automotive. Speaker will give a comprehensive introduction of the controlling the composition gradient, modifying the laser scan strategy, microstructure and mechanical properties evolution.
