[16B-T6-35] Microstructure Evolution and Properties of CuCrZr Alloy Prepared by Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (EB-PBF)
Keywords: CuCrZr, electron beam powder bed fusion, precipitates, electrical conductivity
In this study, CuCrZr alloys were successfully manufactured by EB-PBF. Firstly, the theoretical model for thermal calculation is corrected and the linear energy density range is obtained for the preparation of high density CuCrZr. Experiments has been carried out to verify the accuracy of the theoretical model. Furthermore, the effects of LED on the microstructure evolution, nano precipitation, electrical conductivity and mechanical properties of CuCrZr alloys were systematically studied. The results show that the grain size of CuCrZr is positively correlated with the LED value, mainly distributed in the range of 14.7-24.2 μm. It is found that two types of nano Cr2O3 precipitates are uniformly distributed in the matrix. Finally, the specimens exhibited excellent comprehensive properties, among which the highest elongation, ultimate tensile strength and electrical conductivity were 32.1%, 257.7 MPa and 70.6%IACS, respectively.
