[15P-T12-01] Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of High-Strength Tool Steels

In this study, high-strength tool steels for use in automobile parts are studied. Changes in microstructure were analyzed by changing the chemical composition of high-strength tool steels. Mechanical properties were measured according to microstructure changes, and the correlation between microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated. Mechanical properties changed depending on the fraction and size of the phases and carbides, and the chemical composition and microstructure to obtain the best mechanical properties were suggested. Changes in carbon content have the greatest influence on carbide formation, and the effect of carbon on structuring the microstructure was investigated.
