[16P-T15-03] Formation Mechanisms in SPSed TiC-Ti3SiC2 Composites by Elementally Powders Method
キーワード:Ti3SiC2, in-situ reaction, formation mechanisms
Ti3SiC2-based composites prepared by Elementally Powders Method have the advantages of thermodynamic stability and high bonding strength. In ternary systems, thermodynamic data, including phase equilibrium relationship of the system, are basic information for determining the reaction mechanism and final products. To this end, the equilibrium phase diagram of the Ti-Si-C ternary system and the existing thermodynamic data are used to estimate the unknown thermodynamic data, and calculate the chemical potential of each component. Combining microstructure observation and XRD results, the phase formation mechanisms in the in-situ reaction of the Ti-Si-C ternary system were analyzed, and the sintering conditions for the synthesis of pure TiC-Ti3SiC2 composites were determined.
