[15P-T2-02] Single-step Co-sintering Synthesis of a Gradient Metal Micro-filtration Membrane with a Sleek Surface
Keywords:Porous metal materials, Microfiltration,Co-sintering,Metallic membrane
A novel fabrication method for manufacturing tubular micro-filtration membrane with mirror-like surface by one step co-sintering without additive doping has been developed. The surface morphology, pore distribution and permeability performance are studied, which supplies a theoretical basis for the preparation of low-cost metallic membrane and further study their pore evolution mechanism. The result shows that the metallic membrane was bonded to the support tightly after sintering at 1250℃ for 2h. The fine powder content has a significant impact on the integrity of the membrane layer, which is due to the synergistic shrinkage during the co-sintering process. The surface roughness and average pore size of the as-fabricated stainless-steel membranes by the new method are 178 nm and 2.1 μm, respectively.
