[16P-T6-01] Modification of Direct Energy Deposited Mo Layer on Austenitic Stainless Steels by Thermo-mechanical Processing
キーワード:molybdenum, direct energy deposition, thermo-mechanical processing, austenitic stainless steel
With its exceptionally high melting point and enhanced corrosion resistance in a variety of alloy compositions, including Ni, Fe, and Cr, Mo exhibits exceptional qualities as a coating material. However, it is difficult to utilize for structural components due to high brittleness and low processability at the ambient temperature. In order to solve this problem, pure Mo was instantly coated on austenitic stainless steel via the direct energy deposition (DED) and thermo-mechanical processing (TMP) was subsequently employed. Effects of TMP on DED Mo were evaluated including microstructure, corrosion resistance. Experimental results can be contributed to improve the mechanical properties and environmental resistances for next generation nuclear/fusion applications.
