福島第一原発事故により、放射性物質が環境へ放出されるとともに、処理されないまま敷地内に存在する大量の汚染水が漏えいする可能性がある。これらによる環境影響を評価するために、原子力機構では、大気・陸域・海洋結合計算による放射性物質の環境中移行シミュレーションを試みている。
