[D01] Design of compact THz-FEL system at Kyoto University
Keywords:THz radiation, Free-electron lasers, Beam dynamics, Photocathode RF-Gun
A development of the compact terahertz free-electron laser (THz-FEL) system at the Institute of Advanced Energy, Kyoto University is underway. The system is simple, economic and compact which the total length is less than 5 m. The system consists of a photocathode RF-gun, a focusing solenoid, a magnetic bunch compressor, a focusing quadrupole and an undulator. The start-to-end simulation is performed by using PARMELA and GENESIS code. The beam line layout, optimized parameters and numerical simulation results will be presented in this contribution.
