A hybrid method coupling the multi-fluid model of SIMMER-IV with the discrete element method (DEM) was developed for multi-phase flow simulation of solid-particle bed behaviors. Its applicability to analysis of self-leveling phenomena was tested by 3D simulation of an available particle-bed experiment.
