In this study, the Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method was adopted to analyze the melt behavior in an instrument guide tube of reactor vessel bottom head. The numerical result had been compared with the melt freezing experiment. The predicted melt penetration distance was in good agreement with the experimental result.
