IAEA標準材であるJRQ材について、厚板材の板厚表面から内部までを模擬して照射された材料の板厚方向減衰を評価し板厚内部のみから採取した材料と比較した。中性子減衰にともなう両者の硬化量変化は同様の傾向を示し、材料内部に形成するクラスターも減衰に応じて減少した。
