機構論的コードRELAP/SCDAPSIMを搭載し、グラフィカルな入出力によりプラントの挙動の理解が容易な原子炉シミュレータを用いて、軽水炉プラントの安全審査に関わる事故、レベル2PSAで考慮すべき事故を解析した。先行解析結果と比較し、妥当性を確認出来たため、本シミュレータにより安全性向上に関する研究を効率的に進められる。
