The shear strength of the mechanical joints is important factor to design the remountable high-temperature superconducting magnet. This presentation addresses analysis of the change in shear strength of mechanical lap-joint of REBCO coated conductors with an indium foil as an interlayer material with respect to the joint surface condition and joint fabrication procedure.
