Two conventional suevey meters have been calibrated in soft x-ray radiation filed with the photon energy below 5 keV produced from an electrostatic remover (L12536, Hamamatsu Photonics K.K.). The extrapolation chamber (C112-A, Applied Engineering inc.), which is use as the primary standard for beta dosimetry in National Metrology Institute of Japan, is used as the measurement standard. The uncertainty of the calibration factor of the survey meters was 4.1 % with the coverage factor k=2.
