[3J06] 4-dimensional Langevin calculation for the study of fission
(1)Study of fission with Langevin equation
Keywords:Nuclear Fission, Mass distribution, Langevin equation
Langevin equation is a powerful tool to describe the fission dynamics, which enable us to calculate various physical quantities in fission. In order to study the asymmetric fission that appears in Actinide region, we need, at least, 4 degrees of freedom to describe the nuclear deformation, i.e., elongation, mass-asymmetry, deformation of each fragment. It means we need to solve 4-dimensional Langevin equation.
In this talk, we give an overview of the Lnagevin calcuation of fission dynamics and point out what are necessary for 4-dimensional Langevin calculation.
