*Iku MIYASAKA1, Midori UCHIYAMA1, Kunihiko NAKANO1, Hiroaki FUJIWARA1 (1. IHI Corp.)

Keywords:Joule heated ceramic melter, noble metal particles, settling behavior

Microscopic and macroscopic observation of noble metal particles were carried out to clarify their settling behavior of in Joule-heated ceramic melter. Microscopic observation of simulating glass showed that conditions of vitrification result in variation of Ruthenium particles and viscosity of molten glass.
Macroscopic observation of settling behavior of simulant fluid showed that flow speed and boundary conditions result in settling speed of noble metal particles.
