An eddy current testing for a component made of a ferromagnetic material in a boiling water reactor is required as one of inspections to apply a plant operating period extension in Japan. We focused on sizing characteristics of defect length on a ferromagnetic material surface and performed electromagnetic numerical simulations and experiments.
