[2N05] Investigation of the Influence of Initial Current Density Distribution on Electromagnetic Forces in Vicinity of Cathode

The mechanism of emittance evolution based on self-induced space charge forces were studied for the flat-top electron beam profile before. In this work, the study was extended to several beam profiles (peak and hollow distributions). The results demonstrate correlation between initial current density distribution and emittance evolution.
