熱中性子束密度が大きく異なるため、(n, γ)反応による核変換量が異なる常陽とHFIRでW試料に対し、中性子照射した。アトムプローブを用いて試験片中の核変換元素(Re, Os)の生成量とReクラスターの形成挙動を調査し、照射硬化に及ぼす照射欠陥集合体とReクラスターの形成挙動について考察した。
