The soil, which is removed during operations to decontaminate radioactive materials discharged in association with the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, has increasing concern about risk for damage of the containers for storage of the removed soil because storage period in many temporary storage sites exceeds an initially assumed period, 3 years. Therefore, this study focused on long-term durability of the materials used in temporary storage sites such as flexible containers.
