Keywords:fuel debris, chromium borides, CrB, Cr2B, Vickers hardness, thermal property

The boride compounds are possibly formed from B4C and stainless steels (Fe - Cr - Ni alloy) during core melting down accident. However, the basic properties has not fully understood. This study reports the mechanical properties of chromium boride compounds.
