[3L13] Consideration of remote nuclear waste monitoring by neutrino observation

*Kyohei Nakajima1, Izumi Ogawa1, Yoichi Tamagawa1 (1. University of Fukui)

Keywords:nuclear waste, high level waste, formation disposal, neutrino observation, remote monitoring

As a method of the remote monitoring for deep geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste generated from spent fuel, we considered the possibility of the neutrino observation. Neutrinos are less likely to react with materials, so they fly to the detector without being blocked. In this talk we will explain the possibility of radioactive waste monitoring by neutrino observation.
