[3N13] Development of X-band Electron Linac-based Compact Neutron Source for Nuclear Debris and Spent Fuel Analysis

*Yudhitya Kusumawati1, Yuki Mitsuya1, Jean-Michel Bereder1, Mitsuru Uesaka1 (1. The University of Tokyo)

Keywords:Neutron detector, Neutron source, Nuclear debris, Time of flight, X-band linac

X-band electron linac coupled with Tungsten and Beryllium as photon and neutron converter makes a compact neutron source system with short pulse, which is advantageous for Time of Flight (ToF) measurement. With its relatively small size and short ToF path, this compact neutron source along with G-GEM detector can be implemented in on-site nuclear debris measurement system, especially for Fukushima Daiichi area.
