[1B16] Compatibility between Solid Breeder (Lithium Titanate or Lithium Oxide) and Structural Material (F82H)

The purpose of this study is to reveal compatibility between solid breeder lithium titanate or lithium oxide and structural material F82H by the experiment and computer simulation. For observing the compatibility of Li2+xTiO3 (Li/Ti=2.27), which is enriched lithium or Li2O and F82H, high temperature experiment was done. It was observed that LiCrO2 and LiFeO2 was appeared to F82H by XRD and SEM. Molecular dynamics simulation were performed to study the diffusion behavior of lithium and oxide atoms in F82H. The results suggest that Cr has strong effect for diffusion of lithium and oxide atoms.
