For the studies and developments for RIKEN Accelerator-driven compact Neutron Sources RANS using 7 MeV proton and a beryllium target, there are somewhat large uncertainties in the calculation of neutron production due to the lack of nuclear data. To resolve the uncertainties and increase the accuracies of calculation, an original function for neutron production was formed based on existing experimental data using the 9Be+p reaction. The adequacy of the function was evaluated by comparing with the existing nuclear data library and experimental data less than a dozen MeV proton.
