Fukushima accident is an important event that had great political, economic, and social impacts on Japan and revealed the vulnerability of Japan’s energy security. In this study, we quantitatively analyzed Japan’s energy security based on fuzzy logic by using 20 indicators composing 4As-framework for energy security, which had been suggested by APERC. According to our results, Fukushima accident greatly influenced Japan’s energy security on economic, environmental, and social aspects and the difficulty in operating nuclear power station is the most influential factor of 20 factors used in this study.
