[1G02] Interactive In-Situ Visualization of Molten Debris Relocation Simulation using Particle-based Visualization
Keywords:Visualization, In-Situ Visualization, Particle-based Volume Rendering
In the field of nuclear simulation, importance of In-Situ visualization is arising, which simultaneously generates visualization image in same environment of the simulation. However, visualization failure is often occurs because of preset of the visualization parameters such as view point, color, and opacity before batch simulation.
We developed novel In-Situ visualization framework using particle data instead of the image, which enables interactive changing of the visualization parameters at runtime. The particle generation is parallelized without changing the mesh separation, and the size of the particle data is enough smaller than the original data size. And this framework changes the visualization parameters via developed daemon tool.
The utility of the proposed framework is demonstrated by applying it to simulations of molten debris relocation in reactor pressure vessels using the JUPITER code.
