C-14 is one of the most important radioactive nuclides for the safety assessment of the near surface disposal for LLW after the institutional control period.This paper shows 2 important points in the LLW safety assessment, the one is the chemical forms of C-14 and the other is the outline of the treatment of C-14 transport.
