In order to aid evaluation of C-14 transport behavior in buried environment, the particulate C-14 produced in PWR was sampled and the relation between the decomposition temperature of particulate C-14 and the release component was confirmed by thermogravimetric mass spectrometry (TG / MS) . As a result, it was confirmed that a component having an aromatic ring structure released by thermal decomposition, but most of C-14 did not volatilize in an inert gas and C-14 existed in further carbonized components.
