[1I05] Small Punch Test using Digital Image Correlation Technique

Small punch (SP) tests were conducted for cold worked carbon steel to estimate the fracture toughness. Digital image correlation (DIC) technique was applied to measure the displacement and strain of specimen during the SP test. Finite element method (FEM) analysis were also conducted to trace the displacement and strain of specimen during SP test. It was found that the displacement of specimen measured by DIC coincide well with that by FEM analysis.
