This study has developed a margin assessment methodology of sodium-cooled fast reactor against a combination hazard of strong wind and rainfall. A scenario in the wind-rainfall combination hazard is fatigue failure of heat transfer tubes in air coolers, of which exhaust dust is entered by rain droplets, following to the auxiliary cooling system roof failure due to wind-generated missiles. This study has defined a grace period to the heat transfer tube failure as the margin in the assessment.
