[1M09] Research and Development of Margin Assessment Methodology of Decay Heat Removal Function against External Hazards
(19)Margin Assessment Methodology against a Combination Hazard of Strong Wind and Rainfall
Keywords:Sodium-cooled fast reactor, External hazard, Combination, Margin assessment
This study has developed a margin assessment methodology of sodium-cooled fast reactor against a combination hazard of strong wind and rainfall. A scenario in the wind-rainfall combination hazard is fatigue failure of heat transfer tubes in air coolers, of which exhaust dust is entered by rain droplets, following to the auxiliary cooling system roof failure due to wind-generated missiles. This study has defined a grace period to the heat transfer tube failure as the margin in the assessment.
