[2H18] Effects of heating on the strength and the microstructure of the reactor materials during severe accident

(1)Estimation of the effect of heating during severe accident on the microstructure of the reactor core internal component materials

Keywords:Fukushima Daiichi, Reactor core internal components, Irradiation damage, Temperature history, Ion irradiation, Microstructure

Microstructure of the core internal components are expected to be made characteristic changes during the exposure to elevated temperatures by the severe accident. It seems to be applicable to estimate the temperature history of the components during the accident. Microstructure of 316 stainless steel after ion-irradiation + annealing has been examined.
