We have been investigating on radiolysis of aqueous solution of sodium chloride, one of the major solutes of seawater, especially at early stage within a microsecond. Concentration of chloride anion is 0.6 M in seawater, and such high concentration could change initial process within a microsecond, namely spur process. Change of spur process results in different primary yields after spur process, leading to difference in long-term quantitative estimation of subsequent production of stable products. We will show our recent activities: pulse radiolysis experiment to observe fast reactions and theoretical consideration using spur model simulation.
