機構論的コードRELAP/SCDAPSIMを搭載し、グラフィカルな入出力によりプラントの挙動の理解が容易な原子炉シミュレータを用いて、代表的な事故要因を基に、過酷事故解析を行った。PWR平衡炉心の運転サイクル初期と末期で過酷事故時の挙動の差異を明らかにした。
