Keywords:PHITS, particle transport simulation code, Isobaric Analog Resonance, Intra-Nuclear Cascade model

PHITS has been used for many purposes such as radiation shielding in accelerator facilities. The Intra-Nuclear Cascade model INCL implemented in PHITS reproduces inclusive (p,n) spectra at intermediate energies very well. However, INCL is not enough to describe a peak structure in the spectra at forward angles, because the model does not include resonances of isobaric analog states or Gamow-Teller. In this study, we analyzed contributions of the resonances to the neutron spectra, and then developed a model to improve the reproduction of the calculated result by PHITS.
