The properties of fluorous solvents is that they mix with neither common organic solvents nor water at room temperature thus forming third phase, and they dissolved fluorine rich compounds well. Further, it is stable against strong acids and bases. We have reported fluorous metal extraction for mainor metal from aqua regia and hydrofluoric acid. In this study, we designed and synthesized the fluorous metal extractant for uraium. We extracted uranium from nitric acid using fluorous metal extractant.
