To evaluate temperature in PWR containment vessels (CV) during loss of coolant accident, numerical simulations have been carried out by CFD. In this study numerical simulations were done for a previously conducted steam injection experiment into a small-scaled model of the CV cylinder. Predictive performance of pressure and temperature, and effects of wall condensation and phase change in the gas phase were investigated.
