Microstructure and mechanical properties of eutectic, molten and solidified UO2-B2O3/ZrO2-Al2O3 alloys were studied. Miscostructures and compositions in the samples ware determined by means of X-ray diffraction and SEM observation. Mechanical properties of the samples were tested by means of Vickers hardness test, Nanoindentation hardness test and compression test. X-ray computed tomographic scanning were also performed for several samples before the compression test.
