[1D03] Research and human resource development for analysis of fuel debris and decommissioning technology of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants
(11) Microscopic material properties and macroscopic compression strength of simulated nuclear fuel debris
Keywords:Fuel debris, Uranium dioxide, Pore, Compressive Strength, Finite element analysis, Nanoindentation
The molten solidified material of UO2-B2O3 was used as simulated fuel debris. The effect of porosity on the compressive strength and elasto-plastic properties were investigated by finite element analysis and nanoindentation. As a result of simulating several different porosity models, the effect of porosity on compressive strength became clear.
